For The Love Of Pasta❤.....& Farming....& The Ducks That Produce The Eggs For The Pasta

Hello Darlin Dears:)

I am sitting here in the hay watch my ducks forage for the new new spring grass that grows thickly under the winter grass....You see their heads pop up in victory with sprigs of green disappearing into their beaks. They are also spoiled with bits of apples & winter lettuce, which have them running from across the barnyard.....I know that these ladies will waddle their way into their coop at night, & in the morn I will be gifted with a bundle of duck eggs...these gorgeous oblong vessels of gold will be turned into my favorite dish.... Duck Egg Pasta❤

I carry these eggs home & whip them together with a bit of freshly milled flour, olive oil & occasionally beet juice if I am feeling festive❤ I lay out our favorite wood cutting board & let the magic begin.....

Sometimes I make Fettuccine....

At other times, I like making a lovely Rigatoni.....

....& if their just happens to be a few herbs & a delicious cheese in the fridge, I enjoy making a yummy & lovely Ravioli.....

We are getting many duck eggs every day & I am a maiden of pasta as of late....

I want to share this delicious time of year & the treats that come with, with you ❤❤❤

& it helps us achieve our goals at our new farm in Tennessee... Right now we are working on our goal to save up enough for the barn plumbing... it is a 120 year old barn with no pump, & our moo cows & sheep need that delicious water❤

If you love homemade pasta & want to help us out just by eating pasta, please adopt some pasta into your kozy home...

Cobbelstone Creeks & Big Red Barns

Hello Darlin Dears!

I hope you are all doing lovely. We have been soooooo busy at The Farm & Fiddle. It is almost lambing season and our most recent baby cows are always a hoot. There has also been another whole-hearted and amazing thing that Daniel and I have been working on for the last few months. Out of happenstance, joy and lots of luck, we have found a gorgeous farm with cobblestone creeks, hillside hardwood forest, lovely rolling hills of green belt pasture & a gorgeous two story classic red barn…..

In Tennessee!

Yes, you heard correctly… We are moving to Tennessee this spring. A little town called Santa Fe.

I cannot tell you how much we are going to miss Oklahoma…. Goodness gracious I was named after this great state! I Love every bit of it.

Not going to lie… it is going to be a hard move. We plan a few trips through February, March & the big move in April…. With all of our Animal Family <3 We are asking a huge loving whole-hearted participation from all of our darlin dears & loved ones... Our goal is to not haft to sell any of our animal family & be able to make all of our needed improvments to the farm. Moving a few states away is hard enough, & then put starting over on top of that, it can be a heavy heavy lot.

I plan on having one mini pop up art show and one larger one before we move to lovely Tennessee…. First is a show at Cuppies and Joe in Okc on the 7th of February … All day long! I will have many prints, cards pieces, lovely pieces of cedar wood…. I might even bring some farm goods<3

The second show is at Stash in Norman… it is going to be one big and lovely party to help fund our move and repairing our new farm. It shall be during the Second Friday art walk in March on the 13th. We are using the back room for a semi barn dance! In addition, I am downsizing on my antiques and will have many of my lovely pieces up for adoption…. Mostly German and Dutch antiques.

If you are wanting to help us out in another way, we are about to have one of our last Poultry Harvest Days and there are still a few birds up for grabs…. Go here and pick out your bird…. We harvest at the end of January or the beginning of February depending on the weather.

Maybe you are a fan of our Farm and Fiddle pasta! Go here and choose your medicine, and you can pick it up two days after you order!<3  It is made with fresh duck eggs and our house ricotta cheese if your order the Ravioli<3 You must be able to pick-up in Norman or Okc for our fresh Pasta. We will offer our Annual “You Make My Heart Skip A Beet” pasta too! Naturally flavored with Red Bull’s Blood Beets<3

By chance, if you simply want to help us out with a few extra dollars, we would be honored for your donation. It is great knowing that there are people out there in this sweet old world who really care about you and what you are trying to do…. People that you have affected in a morning sunshine kind of way. In the case of you wanting to make a donation, don’t be surprised to find a special surprise in your lovely mailbox<3

We are going to miss our CSA family soooooo much….. If you are in our CSA or were on our wait-list, just email us for a recommendation of another local CSA. We want you to continue to have lots of yummy local and sustainable foodJ

Over the next few months, we will be posting lots of updates and images<3

We appreciate your love and support!

Yours truly,

Samantha & Daniel <3
